Fuel surcharge
AGAP applies a fuel surcharge, updated on a monthly basis. The fuel surcharge applies to all city, domestic, and international services offered by AGAP. It is added to the price of the service performed by AGAP. The surcharge amount is determined based on average market prices of diesel and aviation fuel, with the resulting percentage rate then applied to the price of the service performed by AGAP. Due to their different nature, it is calculated using separate formulas for road and air services. Since fuel prices are subject to change, the surcharge is adjusted up or down each month, and its amount (percentage rate) is announced one month in advance.
Fuel surcharge rate for road services – applies to city and domestic shipments:
| shipments up to 31.5 kg | 39,50% |
| shipments over 31.5 kg | 46,30% |
| shipments up to 31.5 kg | 36,70% |
| shipments over 31.5 kg | 42,30% |
| shipments up to 31.5 kg | 34,25% |
| shipments over 31.5 kg | 41,00% |
Fuel surcharge calculation scheme
AGAP applies a variable fuel surcharge depending on fluctuations in fuel prices. The formula used by AGAP for road services is based on the average retail price. It reflects the average retail price of diesel fuel on the Polish market in a given month. It is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the weighted average retail prices of diesel fuel in a given month, including all taxes and fees (excise duty, fuel charge, and VAT) applicable on the domestic market on a specific day of the week. The index is expressed in PLN per 1000 liters.
The weighted average price is calculated based on the average retail prices charged by the individual operators with the largest share of the diesel fuel retail market, i.e. PKN Orlen, private stations, western concerns, and Grupa Lotos. The weight is each operator’s share of the market.
AGAP reserves the right to change the method and methodology used to calculate the fuel surcharge.
